SOAR Media: The Reel That Opened Doors

Every agency needs a sizzle reel. Most of them look like every other sizzle reel. When SOAR Media trusted me to produce theirs in-house, the brief was simple and the stakes were real: make something that shows exactly who we are and makes the right clients want to call. That's a different kind of creative responsibility than a client deliverable — this was the agency's own face to the world.

As Creative Director, Editor, and Motion Graphics Designer, I built a custom motion design system using the SOAR Media logo as a recurring framing device — a visual thread that unified wildly different footage styles across a diverse client roster. UGC, cinematic drone shots, professional studio photography. Sports, luxury real estate, live entertainment, food and beverage, construction. Sixty seconds. Beat-matched cuts. No dead air. The challenge was making it feel cohesive without making it feel samey — showing range while maintaining a singular agency voice.

The reel worked. It directly contributed to securing two new clients — the California Legion Major League Rugby team and Skimlite. A sizzle reel that closes business isn't a vanity piece. It's a sales tool.
